EBAN is the common identity connecting a group of legal, research, technology and editorial initiatives developed across Spain, Europe and the United States.
Today, EBAN stands for European Bureau & American Nexus: a name that reflects the way these initiatives are connected across jurisdictions, professional environments and areas of research.
The term Nexus is intentional. EBAN is not built around the idea that every activity should be centralized within a single legal or organizational structure. It reflects a coordinated ecosystem in which different initiatives serve different purposes while remaining connected through a common professional and intellectual framework.
A European Foundation, an American Nexus
The professional foundation of EBAN is European and, more specifically, Spanish.
Its legal practice originates in Spain, where EBAN Abogados operates within the Spanish and European legal environment.
From that base, EBAN has progressively developed a U.S. dimension through EBAN Legal USA, research initiatives, technology projects and professional connections intended to bridge the distance between European and American legal systems.
This development is gradual. Some elements already exist, others are under development, and some remain future professional objectives.
The purpose of EBAN Nexus is to make those relationships understandable without presenting future development as present reality.
Madrid and Seattle
Madrid and Seattle serve as the two principal reference points within the current development of the EBAN ecosystem.
Madrid represents the established European professional base.
Seattle represents the developing U.S. dimension, including the presence of EBAN Legal LLC, the development of EBAN Legal USA and long-term professional objectives connected with Washington State.
EBAN Legal LLC maintains a commercial mailing address in Seattle for correspondence. This does not constitute a staffed or client-facing law office.
EBAN Legal USA is being developed progressively and in collaboration with appropriately licensed U.S. professionals where U.S. legal advice or representation is required.
A Common Professional Direction
The EBAN ecosystem has developed under a common professional direction, connecting legal practice, research, technology and publishing across different jurisdictions and areas of activity.
Its initiatives share an underlying professional and intellectual framework while operating through the legal, organizational or editorial structures appropriate to their respective purposes.
This common direction should not be confused with a requirement that every initiative form part of the same legal entity, corporate structure or professional organization.
EBAN Nexus provides the framework through which these different areas remain connected while preserving their appropriate legal, professional and organizational boundaries.

Each initiative serves a different function.
EBAN Abogados
EBAN Abogados represents the established legal practice in Spain.
It provides the European professional foundation of the ecosystem and operates within the Spanish legal framework, with a multidisciplinary approach to legal matters and cross-border coordination.
EBAN Abogados also provides the natural European counterpart for professionals and clients in the United States who require assistance involving Spain or, where appropriate, European Union law.
EBAN Legal USA
EBAN Legal USA is the developing U.S. dimension of the EBAN professional network.
Its purpose is not to reproduce a Spanish legal practice in the United States or compete with local U.S. attorneys.
Its role is to create a practical point of connection between international clients, European professionals and appropriately licensed U.S. counsel.
Where U.S. legal advice or representation is required, matters are intended to be handled by or referred to qualified U.S. professionals.
EBAN Research Lab
EBAN Research Lab, also presented editorially as EBAN Lab, is the research and development identity used for selected EBAN projects involving technology, artificial intelligence, structured research and testing.
Its work is focused on practical experimentation rather than abstract technological claims.
This includes source reliability, operational guidelines, artificial intelligence-assisted workflows, testing methodologies and the identification of appropriate professional boundaries.
EBAN Research Lab may collaborate with or draw on technological work developed through Trabant Systems.

USResidence
USResidence is the first major project being developed within the EBAN Legal USA framework.
The project explores how authoritative U.S. legal and governmental information, carefully structured technology and collaboration with U.S.-licensed professionals may help international users better understand lawful pathways to the United States.
Its principal perspective begins outside the United States: with individuals seeking reliable information before making legal, professional or personal decisions concerning a possible move to the U.S.
The project may also address situations involving individuals already lawfully present in the United States who are exploring legitimate options concerning continued residence or qualifying family members.
USResidence is currently under development.
Trabant Systems
Trabant Systems is an independent technology and digital research initiative focused on practical computing, system autonomy, maintainability, open-source development and responsible artificial intelligence.
Its research environment provides a technological counterpart to selected EBAN Research Lab initiatives.
Projects such as Linux Trabant, AI Directives and DDR Lab explore lightweight computing, structured AI use and systems designed around transparency, sustainability and user control.
Independent Edition
Independent Edition is an independent editorial initiative devoted to law, society, human experience and introspective narrative.
It provides the editorial and publishing dimension of the wider ecosystem, creating a space for long-form analysis, reflective writing and interdisciplinary work that may intersect with legal, social and systemic questions.
Ralph Larson
Ralph Larson is an authorial and editorial identity focused on systems theory, artificial intelligence, human behaviour, law and introspective narrative.
The Ralph Larson initiative explores how apparently separate disciplines can be understood through common structural and systemic frameworks.
Its role within the ecosystem is primarily intellectual and editorial rather than institutional.
Distinct Structures, Deliberate Connections
The initiatives described on this page are not an informal association of unrelated projects.
Their connection reflects a deliberate development strategy across legal practice, research, technology and publishing.
At the same time, the existence of a common professional direction does not mean that every initiative has the same legal status or operates through the same organizational structure.
Some activities are carried out through legal or corporate structures. Others are research, technology, editorial or authorial initiatives.
Each retains the legal, professional and organizational status appropriate to its purpose.

EBAN does not present unfinished initiatives as established services.
Projects may begin with research, continue through testing and professional review, and develop operationally only when their framework and practical usefulness are sufficiently established.
Where appropriate, selected milestones, testing results, methodological changes and professional developments may be documented publicly through project Updates.
A test that does not produce a satisfactory result is still part of development if it identifies what needs to change.
An Evolving Ecosystem
EBAN Nexus is not intended to describe a static organizational chart.
The ecosystem may evolve as projects develop, professional relationships expand and new initiatives emerge.
For that reason, this page reflects the structure as it currently exists and may be updated when material changes occur.
What exists will be described as existing. What is under development will be described as under development. Future objectives will remain future objectives until they become something more.
The Meaning of Nexus
The word Nexus describes the central idea behind the EBAN ecosystem.
It refers to connection: between Europe and the United States, between different legal systems, between technology and professional judgment, between research and practice, and between institutional structures and the human experience that exists within them.
EBAN is therefore not defined by a single office, jurisdiction or discipline.
It is defined by the relationships between them.
