USResidence is currently in its initial development phase.
The project is being designed as a structured point of access for international users seeking to better understand lawful pathways to the United States before individualized legal advice becomes necessary.
Our present work is focused on defining the project’s source framework, operational guidelines, professional boundaries and testing methodology.
Official Sources First
The informational architecture of USResidence is being developed around authoritative U.S. sources, including applicable legislation, regulations and official materials published by relevant U.S. governmental authorities.
The objective is not to replace those sources, but to make them easier to understand and navigate for users approaching the U.S. legal system from abroad.
Developing the Operational Framework
A central part of the current development stage is the creation of an operational framework intended to govern how future technology-assisted consultation tools will identify, analyze and present information.
That framework is intended to emphasize source reliability, clear treatment of uncertainty and the distinction between general information and circumstances requiring individualized professional judgment.
No consultation interface is currently being presented as an operational service.
Testing Before Deployment
Future testing will focus not only on whether a system can produce plausible answers, but on whether those answers are sufficiently reliable, properly sourced and appropriately limited.
Where testing identifies weaknesses, incomplete reasoning or insufficiently clear professional boundaries, the methodology will be revised before further development.
A result that is not satisfactory will not be treated as a successful result simply because it appears technically convincing.
The Professional Connection
USResidence is not intended to replace U.S.-licensed attorneys.
Where a user’s circumstances require individualized advice, legal strategy, representation or another service requiring professional licensure under U.S. law, the objective is to connect the matter with an appropriately qualified U.S. professional.
Developing future relationships with independent U.S.-licensed attorneys will therefore form part of the project’s professional architecture.
Why We Are Publishing Updates
We intend to document selected stages of the development of USResidence publicly.
These Updates may include milestones, testing stages, methodological changes and, where useful, results that show that further work is required.
USResidence is being developed gradually. We prefer to describe what exists, what is being tested and what remains a future objective rather than present an unfinished project as a completed service.
